Privacy policy

Effective October 2, 2026

StopR2613.com is a resident-led website organized by John and Kelsey Huffman to share information about R26-13 and help neighbors get involved. It is independent of the Town of Huntersville. This policy explains how information is collected and used when you visit this site or contact us.

Information you share with us

Our contact form asks for your first name, last name, email address, and message. Your phone number is optional. We use this information to respond to your questions and requests about community involvement.

Messages are processed through FormSubmit and directed to [email protected]. FormSubmit, our email provider, and their service providers process information to deliver and manage messages. Their own privacy policies also apply. Read FormSubmit’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information.

Petition signatures

Our petition form collects your full name as a typed signature, residential address, email address, signature date, support and sharing confirmation, and any optional comment. We use this information to review entries, follow up about signatures, and prepare a community petition concerning R26-13.

By signing, you authorize organizers to share your name, address, signature date, and any comment with the Town of Huntersville. Information submitted to the town may become public records. Your email is collected for organizer follow-up and is not intended for inclusion in the petition sent to the town. Signer details are not displayed on this website. Petition submissions are processed through FormSubmit and emailed to [email protected].

Contact us to request a correction or removal before the petition is submitted. We cannot guarantee removal of records already shared with the town or retained by external providers.

Google Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this website and to improve its content. Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect information such as pages visited, interactions, referral sources, browser and device information, and approximate location. Your browser sends technical information, including your IP address, to Google as part of these requests.

Google Analytics currently loads when you visit the site; we do not currently display an analytics consent banner. We do not send the names, email addresses, phone numbers, or message text you enter in our contact or petition forms to Google Analytics through our site’s code.

Learn how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on on supported desktop browsers.

Hosting and external services

The services that host and deliver this website may process technical information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site. FormSubmit may also use spam-prevention checks when you submit a message.

Links to the town’s website, documents, and other external websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. This policy covers StopR2613.com.

How we use and share information

We use contact information to answer messages and coordinate involvement you request. We do not sell your contact information or publish your private messages on this site. Service providers process information as described above. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.

The board-email draft and copy buttons do not send email on your behalf. If you send a message to town officials from your own email account, that communication may become a public record. Contacting us through this site is separate from submitting comments to the town.

Retention and your choices

Contact messages may remain in our email records so we can respond and follow up. Analytics information is retained according to the Google Analytics account settings and Google’s applicable policies; hosting and form providers may keep their own operational records.

You can ask us to stop contacting you or request access to, correction of, or deletion of contact information you have provided by emailing [email protected]. We will review your request and explain any limits, including information held by external services or records we must retain.

Children’s privacy

This site is intended for residents and other people interested in the rezoning process, and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our contact form, please contact us so we can review and address it.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy as the website or its services change. The effective date above will reflect updates. For privacy questions, contact John and Kelsey Huffman at [email protected].
