Keep residential zoning.
We oppose R26-13 and want the current Neighborhood Residential zoning maintained. Our goal is denial of this rezoning.
OUR POSITION
Deny R26-13. Keep residential zoning.
We want a thoughtful public plan for this section of Statesville Road that respects the people who live here—along the road, in the Hamptons, and throughout neighboring communities.

WHAT WE STAND FOR
We oppose R26-13 and want the current Neighborhood Residential zoning maintained. Our goal is denial of this rezoning.
We want the town to develop a coherent, public plan for this section of Statesville Road that is compatible with surrounding communities and respectful of adjoining residents.
Households along Statesville Road and families in the Hamptons deserve equal consideration. Every neighbor should have access to the same information and a voice in the process.
THE CASE BEHIND OUR POSITION
Commercial activity beside residential properties, tree removal, reduced side buffers, and unresolved questions about noise, traffic, runoff, and water quality must be considered together.
Our position is that this combination does not fit this residential setting. The detailed reviews explain what the plans show, what remains unanswered, and why it matters.
HOW WE STAND TOGETHER
Our strength comes from a consistent message and an open process.
Use verified facts and your own experience. Check source documents before quoting numbers. Focus on the proposal and its impacts, and be respectful to the developer, town employees, officials, and fellow residents.
While we seek denial, we will not meet one-on-one with the developer to negotiate concessions or sweeten the proposal. Concession discussions should happen only if the rezoning is approved—and then openly, transparently, and with the community informed.
“We want R26-13 denied and residential zoning maintained. We would discuss concessions only if the rezoning is approved. Until then, our focus is denial. Please share information openly so our community can review it together.”
